So, to start off, I really should let you all know I am a bit picky. But I have to withdraw my pickiness for later. For now though I shall give you what I thought of the film (fully). The film itself was very good, it was nice to see the Avengers all back together again especially after this huge gap of three years. The first Avengers film, made in 2012, was the big one everyone was waiting for. After all the films (The Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor) it was an amazing moment to finally see them all in one film fighting side by side.
The second Avengers (Age of Ultron) definitely had an huge fanbase to make it reach 1 billion dollars at the box offices in just a few weeks. But did it reach the first Avenger film status? In my opinion, no. If I were to rate this film, I'd probably give it 3/5 stars.
Now, why I gave it a 3 is simply because it was so boring. Unlike the first Avengers, this one was just predictable, slow paced, and just too full of dialogue and not nearly enough action. I won't describe any scenes but I just want to let you know there are far too many with just boring dialogue. Just a big boring ball of dialogue.
Much like other films, characters sometimes begin to change as the series goes on. But for me, these "subtle" changes were just weird and in my opinion, not like the character at all. Again no addressing names or anything, but lets just say that romance is in the air, and it's a mismatch romance in my opinion.
Another one of the things that bothered me (I'm sorry for my pickiness) is the fact that our favorite relationship between Black Widow and Hawkeye is no more. Again, no details, but that's the fact. That ship is no longer sailin.
I really had more hope for this film, being that it was another Avengers film containing all these amazing actors and actresses. I really hope that Avengers Three will maybe lift this group back up to it's original high status. But for now, I'm a bit sad. Till next time!
Today, Lyndsey and I will be answering the ultimate question. A questions that every person has asked themselves, (or will ask after reading this blog post). Lyndsey and I will be answering:
"If you could have an ultimate fighting team conducted of two fictional characters (and yourself) who would be your team mates? And why."
These teams are created by each of us, conducting only ourselves, and two fictional characters from any film/ book/ or any other geek source. I will start off, and then we shall switch off, reviewing one character from our team at a time.
My mind could easily blow up if I over think this too much. Having an ultimate fighting team made up of literally any two characters (and yourself) is a huge and difficult decision. Through much deliberation, I have come to the conclusion of these two characters. First, is Legolas from the Lord of The Rings trilogy and Hobbit films.
With his accuracy in archery and his quick wit with defense, he would make an awesome team mate in combat. As an elf, his height would be handy for reaching things (cause I am short), and, his patience with others would be beneficial because with me, he'll need patience. His diverse language would be awesome to learn, and I think Legolas could play as a sort of leader to me; teaching me the Elvish language, archery, and basically all the necessities of being an elf. (And bonus points, he's beautiful). So overall, I think Legolas would definitely be my right hand man during combat, making him my first of two fictional characters for my ultimate fighting team.
Legolas
Though I do adore Legolas, without doubt my first choice would be Vin. As the main protagonist in the epic Trilogy, Mistborn, by Brandon Sanderson, Vin is a force to be reckoned with. I think it's safe to say that with her at my side, the world would collapse before us. Aside from her capabilities as a Mistborn, Vin possesses a steely strength that is essential in any fight. She is human; yet with the abilities one might attach to a god. Vin is both vulnerable, and yet without weakness. Her only real foe is herself. Though I'm due for another re-read of Misborn, the most important thing from my recollection of Vin, is that she is powerful not just in body, but in heart. Her passion, wit, intellect, and consuming desire to protect those she cares for, pretty much make her the most epic heroine ever. I can't emphasize her positive attributes enough!

Now I knew for this final choice, my last member of my team had to be smart.
With Legolas having the skills as a true archer and a big piece of the fighting part of my team, I had to pick someone who was either rich, smart, or quick witted. This was difficult and I leaned toward many heroes such as, Batman, Severus Snape, and Indiana Jones. But, I came to the conclusion of the mastermind himself, Loki Laufeyson.
I felt sort of bad picking him since he's one of my constant go-to characters, but the more I thought about him and all his positive factors he contains, the more I wanted him for my team. Looking back at his previous Avenger encounters, he was able to manipulate and trick all of them. Not only that, but he was able to live through Captain America's shield blast, Iron Man's shots, Hulk's beating, and literally every fall and explosion. He also is a master of illusions, he's the sonof a frost giant, raised by Asguardians, and he's the god of mischief. Though his fighting skills are not as quick and as powerful as Legolas's, I knew Loki could uphold the brains of my team.

For my final choice, I've decided upon Vlad, from Dracula untold. Not only is he drop dead beautiful, but he doesn't score too bad in the 'I can crush whole villages in my sleep' area either. From the moment I saw the movie I knew Vlad would go down in my mental book as one of my favorite characters. It's for this reason, as well as many others, that he is my immediate go to for this challenge. Being a vampire, he is on a level akin to Vin. He is one of the few people I feel would actually compliment her skills, rather than be intimidated by them. Also, his desire to do what is right so great that he is willing to compromise his own comforts in order to fulfill it.

For so many of us, Star Wars has defined our childhood, and the start of our love for all things Sci-Fi. And some genius out there has invented a day where we can all celebrate these great stories and films together! But what does one do on May the Fourth? Re-watch all the films? Dress up and go to some Star Wars convention? Today, I will be helping my fellow Star Wars fans on how to celebrate Star Wars Day!
One of the easiest ways to celebrate anything is through food. Making fun eatables can really get a celebration going, and when you've got a theme, the ideas are endless. So, for you I've collected many different and easy recipes to get your party started!
*Blue Milk*
Inspired by the blue milk as shown in Luke Skywalker’s Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru home in Tatooine, I have found the easiest and sweetest recipe for making it.
Now the texture of it in the film makes it look as though it is thick, or at least thicker than normal milk. So I decided to turn drink into a milkshake rather than just milk.
Now that you have snacks, your celebration is going to be amazing, but,
there are still a lot more little things you can do to really make your get-together amazing.
I'm hoping that whoever you invite is a huge fan like you, and if so, you'll need the proper music to celebrate. I have found several playlists on Youtube. Such as this one:
Now if you are not rich (like myself) that may be hard to go smothering yourself
with Star Wars treasures. So, to substitute this, grab a bean bag chair, sit on down and let the films begin. Nothing beats the simpleness of simply watching or rewatching these films, though if you have watched them before, I give you permission to skip those unnecessary parts (*cough* Jar Jar *cough*)
Another fun thing you/ and your friends can do is play the online Star Wars games.
One of my favorites being The Old Republic. And if online gaming isn't for you, there are several games of Star Wars to choose from! From the Nintendo Systems to the Xbox. From Lego to the old fashion arcade versions. The options are endless!
As for me this year, I'm pretty basic. Movies, snacks, and this year I will be making Star Wars themed items for a prom I will be attending. My friend will be receiving a Millennium Falcon corsage that I have made for her (we promised we'd take each other to prom since 1st grade) and as for myself, I will have an R2D2 pearl necklace.
(The theme was under the stars.... and I took advantage of it.)

To start off with, I am a HUGE PSYCHOTIC Lord of the Rings fan. Like, HUGE. To skip the whole background story and leave you with the essentials, my entire family basically knew me growing up as the girl who really loved LOTR with unnatural fangirling. It was my first obsession, the first form of art to really inspire me! It was beautiful, heart wrenching, and captivated my soul without remorse.
Then we have the hobbit.
Tolkien is rolling in his grave, I'm sure of it. While the film series started out fairly well, it progressively got more and more cheesy. Eventually it got to the point where I hated everyone, and the cheese factor was so high I was crying from laughter at certain points during this last movie.
Let me just say it outright. The desolation of smaug was TERRIBLE. Absolutely terrible. I hated it so much. And I'm ashamed it's now going to be slandered all across the beauty of the Lord of the Rings. They took such a fantastic story, and made it into a COMPLETE JOKE. Tauriel falling in love with Kili went against everything elves as a race stood for. Legolas's infatuation with her was stupid, and the lines... OH MY GOSH THE VERY LINES OF THIS MOVIE WERE RIDICULOUS.
I would go into a complete scene by scene breakdown of why this movie was so messed up, but I'll be honest here... this whole thing has made me super depressed. I don't even want to think about this movie more than I have to, and just writing this review of complete outrage is difficult.

I watch the Lord of the Rings, and I see a film series in which the director and everyone involved really cares about what they are creating. I watch the Hobbit, and all I see is no one really caring what the heck they're doing.
You didn't give this half the loving attention you gave LOTR. Not 2%. So maybe instead of ruining peoples opinions of the Hobbit, you could have just asked for money instead of wasting your time filming this atrocity.

And lastly, we've all been here before, (probably not as dramatic as a bird in the face) but we have
all dealt with 'life'. And this Avatar gif sums it up perfectly.
At some comic conventions, anime conventions. or any kind of geeky assorted convention, I guarantee that you will find people dressed up. I've seen a whole t.v. show about all the cosplayers and all the work these people do just to appear as closely to the character they're portraying. Some are just absolutely stunning. But what grabs me is how much people enjoy dressing up as all these various characters. Reasoning why, 1.) It's like dressing up as your hero, someone you've admired since childhood. 2.) It's super fun to show off your amazing cosplay. 3.) Wearing something that your favorite character wears.
Characters from all various corners of the geek universe are special for many reasons, most being because of their personality, weaponry, story, or franchise. But, a costume makes a huge impact upon the character. I mean, imagine if Iron Man without his suit.... okay nevermind. Robert Downy Jr. still would be just as amazing. But, a costume really shows a lot about a character and makes the world of cosplaying fun. So for this blog write, I decided to pick a few costumes that are both iconic or boldly inspirational towards cosplayers.
Alice (Alice in Wonderland)
Iconic blue dress + white apron + blonde hair = Alice
Dr.Who
Since there are so many different Doctors, you could easily make an endless amount of costumes from them. And, each holds their own uniqueness.
Darth Vader
If we're rating these outfits on overall detail, I'm pretty sure Darth Vader would be at the high ranking. His mask, cap, robotic chest just gives the essence of the Dark Side.
The Four Houses (Harry Potter)
Whatever house you pick, your cosplay will be so recognizable as you walk around in your house's colors. Also, the wand would be a nice touch.
Mario
Okay, this one is probably my least favorite cosplay I've seen on people. But, it's iconic nonetheless. The red hat and shirt, the overalls and you're Mario.
Sailor Moon
I've seen this group of girls at basically every convention there is. But if you have a bunch of friends and you're all looking for a group cosplay, this one seems to be the most popular. This or Disney princesses.
Attack on Titans
If you're not into the bright and peppy of Sailor Moon, then Attack on Titans would be a perfect alternative. Being fairly newer than the rest of these examples, these cosplays also hold their iconic look. The jacket, the pants, and the amazing weaponry. It may take a bit more work, but it turns out brilliantly.
Now here's the cool part about cosplayers and the world of creating such an iconic look for characters. All these diverse and mismatch characters all meet up at conventions, so the room is just filled with people who are passionate about all sorts of different things. You connect with others and it really shows your dedication and admiration toward that particular show, game, book, ect.
